Lorenzo GhibertiLorenzo Ghiberti (1375-1455) was one of the first artists awarded an art commission contest that greatly impacted all other artists after him. He was most known for his narrative bronze cast doors that Michelangelo called "The Gates of Paradise" because of their physical and spiritual beauty. He effectively and impressively used linear perspective within rilievo schiacciato ( a flattened relief technique with a variety of depths).
